The Philosophy

Success is not about pushing harder and hustling until burnout, it’s about ensuring you are consistent and taking aligned steps forward while finding the internal blockages that are holding you back and the resources that you need to learn critical skills. Sometimes, it is just about slowing down and taking a moment to breathe and evaluate so you can take intentional steps forward towards the target, learning to flow with the ups and downs of business.

WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Business coaching and boudoir photography workshops for female entrepreneurs committed to growth, consistency, and personal development.

  • A deep dive into any aspect of your business that you are struggling with. You will workshop solutions and create a roadmap to success with clear, actionable steps on how to move forward. You can also use this time as a Q&A – ask any questions you need regarding business or photography. For all entrepreneurs, not just for photographers. Held on Zoom.

  • A five-hour photography mentorship in the studio for female artists looking to learn how to shoot from the female gaze, work with brands, and create a deeper connection to their subjects. This also covers marketing and niches from fine art boudoir to branding and wedding photography. Also excellent for beginners to boudoir or those who are getting started with film photography. Half of the day is spent reviewing your business and photography concepts based on your goals, while the other half is spent actively photographing a model with styling based on your portfolio goals. There is a one hour zoom follow-up one month after the styled shoot to review progress and address any questions. Available in San Diego, Los Angeles or anywhere worldwide.

  • Ongoing support. You will start by working to determine your current goals as well as actionable steps to successfully achieve them. You will then work biweekly on Zoom, upleveling your skills and mindset, putting marketing strategies in place, and updating business processes, all while monitoring progress and adjusting in real time to ensure that you create the business of your dreams. For all entrepreneurs, not just for photographers.

KIND WORDS

Julia Richards,
We are the Richards Photography

“I am incredibly grateful for the amazing opportunity I had to learn from Annie Caplan Photography this past fall at her Divine Feminine Boudoir Workshop in Joshua Tree. Boudoir from the female gaze fits so perfectly with our style of storytelling and my own education in Fertility Awareness and wanting to be able to empower women in an honest, embodied, soulful way.

To be honest, I have always felt like boudoir wasn’t my thing (hey, it’s Julia) but I think a lot of that has to do with the kind of boudoir I have seen. Finding Annie and learning from her was so inspiring- to be able to learn from someone who is making art I admire and the heart you have Annie, truly I am eternally grateful and cannot express fully in words how much this experience meant to me. Annie, thank you for being an incredible artist, and for being an incredible teacher- it was truly such an honor and privilege to learn from you and to be held in my own vulnerability as an artist.
